Abstract:
This study aims to identify a low-order model for a jet with acoustic-based open-loop control. The jet response to the forcing is measured via phase-locked Particle Image Velocimetry. Nonlinear manifold learning based on the isometric mapping technique is used to reveal the low-dimensional actuation manifold. Complementary pressure measurements in the shear layer and far field highlight the actuation’s impact on jet dynamics and acoustic emission.
