Abstract:
In this presentation, we will discuss a recently developed Molecular Tagging Velocimetry method, Nitric-oxide ionization induced Flow Tagging and Imaging (NiiFTI), and present a few examples of its applications towards ultra-high-speed velocimetry in hypersonic flows. These examples will include near-surface boundary layer profiling in both low-enthalpy and high-enthalpy hypersonic flows, as well as a single-shot velocity and acceleration measurement in a cross-flow configuration.
